Our time here in Washington is coming to an end.
A week ago we were able to take one last camping trip down to Mt. St. Helen's. It was really neat, we recommend everyone to visit Mt. St. Helen's at least once in their lifetime. It is amazing to see the path of destruction that is still visible 28 years later. We camped in a nice little campground outside the park, and the next morning we drove down into the park. We went to two of the visitor centers in the park, Johnson's Ridge and The Weyerhauser center. At Johnson's ridge we watched a cool video that re-enacted the explosion and displayed the brutal force of the blow, and also went on a little hike to see all the views of the mountain. The Weyerhauser center was interesting as well. It mostly was all about how the company Weyerhauser, a logging company here in Washington, was a major participant in the restoring of all the areas that were damaged by the blow. A cool thing we learned was that Weyerhauser planted 80 million new trees, by hand, in the areas that were leveled by the explosion, pretty neat!
We had tons of fun, one of our most favorite camping trips up here in Washington.
Now it is packing time! Time to head back to good old Utah.

Well, life has been pretty hectic the past couple of months. Erin and I live in a 400 sq. ft apartment owned by a man from Taiwan. It is spider and rodent infested and definitely reminds me of some of the worst houses I lived in on my mission.
We have been working for Marriott in the Seattle Airport Marriott, which has been a great learning experience for us. Before coming to work in Seattle, we planned to make a career out of hospitality management and even working for Marriott for the near future. And boy have our plans changed! After we realized what the hospitality industry is all about, we feel inclined to find another avenue of work. Don't get me wrong, it has been a great experience, and very beneficial, too; however, we have realized more from our experience here in Seattle that the hospitality industry is not what we want to do...ever again.
We have enjoyed many aspects of living in Seattle, it seems with every day we have off we go camping to a nearby attraction. Last week we went to Mt. Rainier, this week we're going to Mt. St. Helens. We really enjoy being so close to such great places to spread our sleeping bags!
